delta Sco: Bright Active State Continues

delta Sco remained at a very bright (~1.7mag) from January to April, 2000 (vsnet-campaign-be 150, 151, 154, 155, 156, 158, 159, 162, 163, 164, 174176, 178). S. Otero reported V=1.67 on April 19, which is brighter than ever before in its long outburst (vsnet-campaign-be 181, 182).  After the maximum in April, it started gradual fading (vsnet-campaign-be 183). 106 S. Otero reported 1.76mag on May 19 (vsnet-campaign-be 184, 185).

The object again slightly brightened in June.  S. Otero reported 1.75, 1.71, and 1.73 mag on June 1, 3, and 15 respectively (vsnet-campaign-be 186, 189, 190).  The object then suddenly faded to V=1.89 mag on June 19 (vsnet-campaign-be 191, 192).

A possible rebrightening to 1.6mag was reported on June 27, but not confirmed  (vsnet-campaign-be 193, 194).

D. West reported that the spectrum on August 15 showed the H alpha emission feature (vsnet-campaign-be 199). S. Otero reported 1.91mag on September 10, and that the object was fading slowly (vsnet-campaign-be 200, 201).
