[vsolj-alert 470] XTE J1859+226 HST/XTE visit 3 observations - 1999 Nov 6.

XTE J1859+226 HST/XTE visit 3 observations - 1999 Nov 6.

 J1859 の HST/RXTE の観測がまもなく行われます。日本で同時観測はできない時
 間帯ですが、前回の経験から、前後の観測も重要であることが明らかになってい
 ます。観測可能な方はどうぞ参加してみてください。

Subject: [vsnet-alert 3653] XTE J1859+226 HST/XTE visit 3 observations - 1999 No
C.A. Haswell, S. Chaty, A.J. Norton (Open University), W. Chen
(NASA/GSFC/U.MD.)
and R.I. Hynes (Southampton University) announce:

We have scheduled further (visit #3) simultaneous HST and RXTE
observations
of the new X-ray transient XTE J1859+226, planned for
November 6th 1999 19:37 - 22:22 UT.

Coordinated multi-wavelength observations (simultaneous,
near-simultaneous, and
following the evolution over days/weeks) would be extremely helpful.

If you can observe simultaneously with HST and/or XTE, high
time-resolution
data (< 10 seconds) will be particularly useful. It will also
be very useful to know what the source did in the gaps between our
exposures, appended below both for HST and XTE.

Details of the target are given in IAUC #7274, IAUC #7276, IAUC #7278,
IAUC #7279,
IAUC #7282, IAUC #7284, IAUC #7291, ATEL #47 and ATEL #50.
The coordinates are R.A. = 18h 58m 41s.51, Decl. = +22o 39' 30".2
(J2000.0).
Garnavich et al. (IAUC 7276) give a finding chart
