Dear colleagues! On observing asteroid (259)Aletheia, I have found that one of the 30 (!) selected comparison stars is variable within a few hours. Telescope: Lichtenknecker MPT300 Flatfield-Highspeed-Camera (2.0/f=576 mm) CCD-Camera: OES-LcCCD11 (K400-Chip) without filter. New variable Fr.7: GSC 1902 146 ------------------ Right ascension: 6h 53m49.4593s Declination +26° 42' 14.530" (J2000.0) R mag: 12.4 / B mag: 12.9 (USNO-A2) Amplitude: 0.1 mag (CCD) Comparison star: GSC 1902 991 (R mag: 12.8 /B mag: 13.5) (checked for constant brightness.) The variable seems to be a Delta-Sct-star with an approximate periode of less than 3 hours (S. enclosed light curve "Fr7_01.JPG).
