Dear colleagues! I would like to send you observations of a new variable star (BeV52), which I have discovered in a systematic CCD-based search for new variables. In each observing run typically 400 images are taken of several survey fields. The frames are processed automatically. Instruments: CCD-camera:Starlight Xpress SX (unfiltered) Telescope: Celestron-8 (20 cm Schmidt-Cassegrain) New variable star: new BeV52 184642.0 +035853.4 (J2000) 12.4 12.6 (CCD) SR comments: BeV52: GSC 456 563 Comparison star was for all measurements GSC 456 518 (12.1 mag), which was checked to be constant. The apparently slow change in brightness and the red colour (USNO A2.0 r:11.5 mag, b:13.4 mag) suggest a SR-variable. object YYMMDD(UT) mag (CCD) code BeV52 000706.9694 12.40 BRH.BAV BeV52 000717.9451 12.46 BRH.BAV BeV52 000731.9430 12.60 BRH.BAV BeV52 000801.9381 12.56 BRH.BAV BeV52 000809.9527 12.64 BRH.BAV BeV52 000811.9166 12.59 BRH.BAV BeV52 000814.9187 12.62 BRH.BAV Regards, Klaus Bernhard Klaus Bernhard Kafkaweg 5 A-4030 LINZ AUSTRIA e-mail: kl.bernhard@aon.at
