New variable star discovered on Stardial-CCD-images (HassfortherV17): 2000 180951.24 -020042.0 HassfortherV17 7.9-8.4I SR P=60d HassfortherV17 (2000) 18h09m51.24 -02 00.6996 = GSC 5101-0214 = IRAS 18072-0201 Checking 176 Stardial-images from 1996 to 2000 showed GSC 5101-0214 to be a new semiregular variable star with small amplitude (about 0.5 in I) and a period of about 60 days. The amplitude changes from 0.2 to 0.5 mag. Differential photometry was done against GSC 5097-0241 (Tycho-Photometry: VT=9.735, BT=11.468). A check of the available TASS-measurements proofed the star to be slightly variable with small amplitude. Judging from the TASS-Photometry the star is extremly red (V-I = +5.6): V = 13.740 Error=0.394 n=11 I = 8.112 Error=0.129 n=31 Lightcurve: http://members.aol.com/bela1998/hassfortherv17.htm Stardial: http://vsnet.astro.uiuc.edu/stardial/ TASS: http://vsnet.tass-survey.org/ Bela Hassforther, 09.07.2000
