New variable star discovered on Stardial-CCD-images (HassfortherV44): 2000 184632.07 -025723.3 HassfortherV44 7.5-8.3I SR 200d + 1400d HassfortherV44 (2000) 18h46m32.07 -02 57.3888 = GSC 5118 332 = IRAS 18439-0300 Checking 212 images from 1996 to 2000 showed GSC 5118 332 to be a red semiregular variable star with a short period from about 200 days. A longer cycle with a period of about 1400 days is indicated. The amplitude from the shorter period is about 0.4 mag, the amplitude from the longer cycle is about 0.8 mag (in the Stardial-System: red-filtered KAF0400). Differential Photometry was done with MIRA AP 6.03 with respect to GSC 5118-388. A check of the available TASS-measurements proofed the star to be variable. Judging from the TASS-Photometry the star is extremly red: V = 13.31 (20 measurements) I = 7.57 (35 measurements) Lightcurve: http://members.aol.com/bela1998/hassfortherv44.htm Stardial: http://vsnet.astro.uiuc.edu/stardial/ TASS: http://vsnet.tass-survey.org/ Bela Hassforther, 21.06.2000
