Dear Nomoto-san,

Thank you very much for the information on sn1993j.
It seems asca is observing the SN on Sunday. I attach a message from
Nagase sensei to ASCA team members which you may have received
already.

We would be grateful if you will send us any new information about the
SN especially one about the circumstellar matter and so on.

Regards,

M. Itoh

Subject: ASCA observation of SN1987J in M81

Dear colleaques:

Although initial check-out and calibration of the instruments have
been yet progressing, we will point ASCA at SN193J in M81 on April 4,
1993.
The observation will be made during the remote orbits of the day
roughly between 6;00 and 24:00 UT on April 4, 1993, and I expect that
we can achieve an exposure of the M81 region with net time exceeding
30 ksec for both GIS and SIS.
The observation of A2256 for the calibration of SIS, which was
scheduled at the span, will be slipped to the remote orbits on April
8.

Regards,
F. Nagase
