MV TrA = HIP 81753 = HDS 2370 is listed in a new photometric study by
Fabricius et al A&A 356, 141 (2000), which is essentially a new
assessment
of Hipparcos doubles and their photometric properties which I think is a
part of the developing Tycho3 study.
Anyway, the primary is listed as having BT = 11.06 & VT 9.63
and the secondary is listed as having BT 11.27 & VT 10.28
which equates to transformed Johnson B-V values of +1.22 and +0.84.
This *possibly* suggests that the MHD derived spectrum of K0III may just
be a blend.
It is not clear whether the primary or the secondary is the variable, or
which connects with either the ROSAT source and/or the IRAS source.
