DO Vul was recovered at the D&S position, or more closely,
at 19:52:10.74 +19:34:42.4 J2000. This star is part of our
CV3 paper, and there was a bit of private email in May/June 1999
while it was being confirmed. It is a blue object, varying
from V=17.47 in winter 1998/1999 to V=16.43 on 990808.
While colors help in finding candidates, it sure helps to
catch an outburst. IMHO, automated monitoring is the best
approach. I'm trying to convince Ron Stone to turn FASTT
loose on many 'lost' CVs.
