Dear All,
The best, indeed only, period I find in Katsumi Haseda's data on V915 Sgr
[vsnet-obs 27234] is 279 days which by chance phases nicely with the early
photometry provided by Brian Skiff [vsnet-chat 2802]. Combining the two
sets of observations gives a best period of 279.7 days with aliases at +/-
2... days, which is spot on the GCVS value of 281.8. It seems clear that
the original classification of V915 Sgr as a Mira with this sort of period
is right. If further observations from other monitoring programmes are
published on VSnet then it will be a simple matter to provide a modern
light curve and ephemeris for this, possibly, very consistent variable.
Regards Chris Lloyd
