QW Ser (=TmzV46) outburst

Visual magnitude estimate by P. Schmeer, Bischmisheim, Germany:
QW SERPENTIS (UGSU)
Jan. 25.229 UT, 13.2
Sequence: Henden (V magnitudes)
Instrument: 203-mm SCT
The most recently observed outburst (a supermaximum) of this
SU UMa-type dwarf nova (formerly known as TmzV46) was detected
by me on 2000 July 5.941 UT at mv= 12.4 (cf. vsnet-alert 5068).
Prior to that one I had found three other outbursts:
1999 Oct. 4 (supermaximum), 2000 Jan. 4 (normal), May 1 (normal)
The mean cycle length of QW Ser appears to be 30 days.

The object was recognized as a new SU UMa star on the 2000 July
outburst.

Dear colleagues,
right now I plotted the preliminary light curve of QW Ser obtained
during last two hours and I'm happy to announce that this system is a
new SU UMa member with fully grown superhumps.
Amplitude seems to be about 0.2 mag, period (just watching the curve)
about 0.08d. More precise results will be available later when I'll have
more data and some PDM analyses.

It is still hard to tell whether the present outburst may be a
superoutburst or not, the object would be a good morning target.
