There is a mag. 13 star 60" nearly due east of the center of the
galaxy. As long as this star is included in the sketch along with another
one as bright or brighter, then there could be a supernova there.
The galaxy is centered at: 9 50 22.15 +72 16 44.3 (2000, 2MASS),
while the superposed star is at 9 50 35.16 +72 16 40.9 (also 2MASS), which
is GSC 4386-0321.
