UV Gem: new data and superhumps update Dear Colleagues, We have received new sets of data from Tonny Vanmunster, Nyrola Observatory team (Petri Tikkanen and Arto Oksanen), Ouda (Ishioka-san). The data from Kyoto, Okayama, Torii-san (RIKEN) are also steadily growing. The most recent data still confirm the shortening of the superhump period. The mean Pdot up to now (disregarding the initial phase of a sudden period change) is about -2.8*10^-4. This is the largest ever measured rate of superhump period changes with a sufficiently long baseline. We are further analyzing the entire huge volume of data to fully illustrate the peculiarity of UV Gem. Regards, Taichi Kato VSNET Collaboration team
