INTEGRAL is expected to detect and localize about one gamma-ray burst per month. The GRB's coordinates, with an accuracy of a few arcmin, will be distributed in near real time by the IBAS system. If you want to receive the INTEGRAL GRB positions with the shortest time delay (e.g., for use with robotic telescopes), you can now subscribe to the distribution list. You should also download from the ISDC WWW server the software necessary to receive the GRB Alerts. It can be installed and tested with Alert Packets that are already being sent by the INTEGRAL Science Data Center For more information http://isdc.unige.ch/index.cgi?Soft+ibas Best regards Sandro Mereghetti =========================================================================== Sandro Mereghetti CNR-IASF Istituto di Astrofisica Spaziale e Fisica Cosmica Sezione di Milano ''G.Occhialini'' Tel. +39-02-23699323 via Bassini 15, I-20133 Milano, ITALY Fax +39-02-2666017 sandro@mi.iasf.cnr.it NEW E-MAIL NEW E-MAIL NEW E-MAIL NEW E-MAIL
