Time system is Universal Time. Magnitudes are calculated from Pogson's step
method or the fractional method. CL = class: estimated accuracy of observa-
tion; 1 = good (+/- 0.1 mag.), 2 = fair (+/- 0.2 mag.), 3 = poor (+/- 0.3
mag.). CD = code: I = in-focus observation, O = out-of-focus observation.
Instrument (type, aperture in mm and magnification): C = catadioptric tele-
scope (SCT); M = Newtonian reflector. New observations since Report No. 5
(1994 April 11) are marked with an asterisk (*).
Comparison stars (identifications, V and mv magnitudes): 6 = 11.277;
7 = 11.98; 9 = 12.54; 5 = 13.31; 4 = 13.32; g = 13.7. Identifications and
magnitudes of numbered stars are from Hanes, Harris and Madore (MNRAS, 177,
653, 1976) and Kilkenny and Malcolm (MNRAS, 209, 169, 1984), respectively.
Magnitude for star g is based on estimates by NAS.VSS observers.
Observers: Odd Ivar Andersen (Oslo, Norway); Haakon Dahle (Oslo, Norway);
Stig Foss (Hosle, Norway); Bjorn H. Granslo (Fjellhamar, Norway);
Trond Larsen (Lysaker, Norway); Andreas Lauvstad (Levanger, Norway);
Oernulf Midtskogen (Tranby, Norway).
SN 1994D is of type Ia and it is located at R.A. = 12h 34m.04, Decl. =
+07d 42'.1 (2000.0), 9" west and 7" north from the nucleus of the galaxy.
