SN 2002jp
NGC 3313, a host galaxy of SN 2002jp, is a barred-spiral galaxy with a ring
structure. The SN was located well outside of the spiral arm. The UCB team
took a spectrum of this SN, and revealed that it was a type Ic SN about 2
week after maximum (vsnet-campaign-sn 518). B. Monard reported his prediscovery
observations, which showed the SN was already bright on November 12 at 17.7CR
(vsnet-campaign-sn
