SN 2002dj
The host galaxy of SN 2002dj is NGC 5018, an elliptical galaxy affected
by some Galactic extinction (A_V = 0.317). The position of SN is about
9" west and 3" south of the nucleus of NGC 5018. The expected maximum
of typical SN Ia is mag about 14.8 (vsnet-campaign-sn
438). IAUC 7919 informed that the Padova team took a spectrum of
SN 2002dj on June 14.15 UT at La Silla, which showed that it was of type
Ia well before (~10 days) maximum light (vsnet-campaign-sn
439).
