SAX J1748.9-2021

　BeppoSAXチームがNGC6440に関連していると思われるＸ線トランジェントを発見し
　ました。バーストが１回観測されていることから、中性子星型のトランジェント
　の可能性が高そうです。星間吸収の大きい領域ではありますが、NGC6440は光で
　も観測されている球状星団ですので、光学同定の可能性がありそうです。撮像を
　試みておく価値はあるでしょう。

   According to IAUC 6997, the BeppoSAX team discovered a new X-ray transient
(and burster) likely associated with the globular cluster NGC 6440.

   Trials for optical and/or infrared identifications by high-ewsolution
imaging may be fruitful.
