   That's exactly what I feel.  Regarding variable stars, SIMBAD is no longer
(or never yet?) considered as the primary source for checking designated
variable stars.  Some journal seems to impose authors to use SIMBAD when
checking variable star information before submission, but I think this
statement is increasingly becoming obsolete upon the recent revision and
improved accesibility at the primary GCVS site.  [Great!]
