(fwd) automatic variable star detection from time-series data
Extract from [vsnet-alert 4700] by Rudolf Novak, which would be a suitable
topic for further discussion in vsnet-survey. Are there publicly available
such softwares which efficiently search new variable stars in time-series
(hundreds of short CCD exposures) data?

BTW this should speed me up to finish algorithms to MuniPack for
automatic searching of possible new variable stars in the field of view
in a CCD frame. There must be a lot of new varables detected during long
runs on some CVs. (For example the one discovered by me and Kyoto-team
at autumn in V 419 Lyr field.)
Regards
Rudolf
