[vsnet-newvar 1870] IRAS14436-0703 is a Mira star

The star IRAS14436-0703 is found to be a Mira star with a period of 297
days, by inspecting Stardial images
(http://vsnet.astro.uiuc.edu/stardial/). The amplitude in unfiltered
light is around 3 magnitudes or more, and the maximum and minimum seem
to vary by about a magnitude. Epoch of maximum light JD 2452045, M-m =
0.4. From USNO B1.0, B-R is somewhat larger than 3.0.

Using VizieR, I could come up with the following identifications:

USNO-A2.0 0825-08448548
GSC 2.2 S23103201703
USNO-B1.0 0827-0352688

Image reduction has been done by using the XVista programs written by
Michael Richmond, who is gratefully acknowledged.

Patrick
