Dear colleagues! I would like to send you observations of a new variable star (Brh V82), which I have discovered in a systematic CCD-based search for new variables. In each observing run typically 400 images are taken of several survey fields. The frames are processed automatically. Instruments: CCD-camera: Starlight Xpress SX (unfiltered) Telescope: Celestron-8 (20 cm Schmidt-Cassegrain) New variable star: new Brh V82 181854.7 +041157 (J2000) 11.3 11.7 (CCD) SR comments: Brh V82: GSC 440 884 The comparison star is GSC 440 1068 (11.6 mag), which has been checked for constant brightness. The red colour (USNO A2.0 r: 12.2, b: 15.5) and the apparently slow change of brightness suggest a SR-variable. object YYMMDD(UT) mag (CCD) code Brh V82 000706.9499 11.61 Brh.BAV Brh V82 000717.9263 11.56 Brh.BAV Brh V82 000722.9346 11.63 Brh.BAV Brh V82 000731.9235 11.58 Brh.BAV Brh V82 000801.9186 11.59 Brh.BAV Brh V82 000809.9332 11.59 Brh.BAV Brh V82 000811.8978 11.65 Brh.BAV Brh V82 000814.8999 11.54 Brh.BAV Brh V82 000819.8901 11.63 Brh.BAV Brh V82 000820.8929 11.61 Brh.BAV Brh V82 010620.9950 11.35 Brh.BAV Brh V82 010623.9922 11.34 Brh.BAV Regards, Klaus Bernhard Klaus Bernhard Kafkaweg 5 A-4030 LINZ AUSTRIA kl.bernhard@aon.at http://mitglied.tripod.de/KlausBernhard/index.html
