sounds good to me...
...there are precedents with respect to objects which are called one thing,
but were actually "pre-discovered", with the pre-discovery not necessarily
recognising the true nature of an object, which in this case includes lack
of certainty of variability.
As I've noted before, few other groups release official IDs for suspects,
only for confirmed, for various reasons.
