Dear colleagues! I would like to send you observations of a new variable star (BeV50), which I have discovered in a systematic CCD-based search for new variables. In each observing run typically 400 images are taken of several survey fields. The frames are processed automatically. Instruments: CCD-camera:Starlight Xpress SX (unfiltered) Telescope: Celestron-8 (20 cm Schmidt-Cassegrain) New variable star: new BeV50 182523.0 +035221.9 (J2000) 12.1 12.4(CCD) SR comments: BeV50: GSC 441 1696 Comparison star was for all measurements GSC 441 1567 (11.4 mag), which was checked to be constant. The apparently slow change in brightness and the red colour (USNO A2.0 r:12.4 mag, b:15.4 mag) suggest a SR-variable. object YYMMDD(UT) mag (CCD) code BeV50 000706.9541 12.43 BRH.BAV BeV50 000717.9305 12.31 BRH.BAV BeV50 000722.9388 12.29 BRH.BAV BeV50 000731.9277 12.13 BRH.BAV BeV50 000801.9229 12.23 BRH.BAV BeV50 000809.9375 12.15 BRH.BAV BeV50 000811.9020 12.14 BRH.BAV BeV50 000814.9041 12.10 BRH.BAV Regards, Klaus Bernhard Klaus Bernhard Kafkaweg 5 A-4030 LINZ AUSTRIA e-mail: kl.bernhard@aon.at
