Dear colleagues! I would like to send you observations of a new variable star (BeV45), which I have discovered in a systematic CCD-based search for new variables. In each observing run typically 400 images are taken of several survey fields. The frames are processed automatically. Instruments: CCD-camera:Starlight Xpress SX (unfiltered) Telescope: Celestron-8 (20 cm Schmidt-Cassegrain) New variable star: new BeV45 163532.6 +035940.3 (J2000) 12.2 12.7(CCD) SR comments: BeV45: GSC 390 1871 Comparison star was for all measurements GSC 390 2218 (12.5 mag), which was checked to be constant. The slowly change in brightness and the red colour (USNO A2.0 r:13.2 mag, b:17.2 mag) suggest a SR-variable. The relatively large scatter in the observing data is likely due to slightly different observing conditions and the b-r=4.0 (clear larger than of available comparison stars). object YYMMDD(UT) mag (CCD) code BeV45 000702.8770 12.15 BRH.BAV BeV45 000706.8784 12.21 BRH.BAV BeV45 000717.8541 12.41 BRH.BAV BeV45 000720.8527 12.39 BRH.BAV BeV45 000722.8625 12.28 BRH.BAV BeV45 000731.8520 12.43 BRH.BAV BeV45 000801.8472 12.66 BRH.BAV Regards, Klaus Bernhard Klaus Bernhard Kafkaweg 5 A-4030 LINZ AUSTRIA e-mail: kl.bernhard@aon.at
