New variable star discovered on Stardial-CCD-images (HassfortherV42): 2000 185235.80 -031215.7 HassfortherV42 8.0-8.8I SR 120-150d HassfortherV42 (2000) 18h52m35.80 -03 12.262 = IRAS18499-0316 Checking 212 images from 1996 to 2000 showed IRAS18499-0316 to be a red semiregular variable star with a period around 120 to 150 days. The amplitude reach 0.8 mag in the Stardial-System: red-filtered KAF0400. Differential Photometry was done with MIRA AP 6.03 with respect to GSC 5118-38. A check of the available TASS-measurements proofed the star (185235.8-031215) to be variable with small amplitude. Judging from the TASS-Photometry the star is very red: V = 13.88 (only three measurements) I = 8.16 (19 measurements) Lightcurve: http://members.aol.com/bela1998/HassfortherV42.htm Stardial: http://vsnet.astro.uiuc.edu/stardial/ TASS: http://vsnet.tass-survey.org/ Bela Hassforther, 20.06.2000
