Dear colleagues, New variable star discovery by the MISAO Project (MisV0850). MisV0850 R.A. 18h02m03s.69 Decl. -32o38'32".7 (2000.0) Mag. 12.8C-14.5C Type ? = IRAS 17588-3238 R.A.=18 02 05.73 Decl.=-32 38 37.0 (70 x 11", p.a.=92) flux(12)=0.55 flux(25)=<0.78 flux(60)=<4.08 flux(100)=<41.08 http://vsnet.aerith.net/misao/data/MisV/MisV0850.gif MisV0850 19990520.68679 128C Mis MisV0850 19990520.68723 128C Mis MisV0850 20000224.84394 145C Mis MisV0850 20000224.84450 141C Mis It was detected by the PIXY system as one of the candidates of new variable stars from images taken by KenIchi Kadota, Ageo City, Saitama, Japan, then confirmed by Seiichi Yoshida. The magnitude are measured automatically by the PIXY system. Image observers' names are noted after "Mis", except for ones taken by KenIchi Kadota. NSV 09990 is 2.6 arcmin from MisV0850. No star brighter than 14.5 mag was detected at the cataloged position of NSV 09990. But considering the large angular distance and the magnitude of NSV 09990 (15.3 - 16 mag) in the catalog, MisV0850 is probably a new variable star.
