   Are you completely sure that the object recorded in the BD catalog was
not TU Aql near maximum?  TU Aql at maximum overshines the companion,
and nearby BD stars have positional uncertainties (from the modern
positions) comparable to that of the distance between the BD position
and TU Aql.
