IAUC 8158 notes that the nova reported by LOTOSS in NGC 6822
(IAUC 8141) is observed to be a late-M star with H-alpha emission.
I note that the position corresponds exactly to an already-catalogued
star, NGC 6822c-140, observed by Massey (1998ApJ...501..153M), at V=20.1
and B-V=1.9. It is also _probably_ the GCVS extragalactic variable
NGC 6822 V20. The position: 19 45 04.19 -14 45 46.5 (J2000) appears
to be precise.
\Brian
