Dear colleagues, I have tried to work a little bit with astrometry. I selected several faint red variables with inaccurate positions in GCVS in Per, Psc and Tri and observed them with CCD. Firstly, V and I images were taken to search for red objects. Then, second epoch images (this time only I band) were acquired to search for variability (time baseline 77 days). Positions were measured using Astrometrica and USNO A2.0. Here are the results: name delta_mag RA(J2000) err_ra Dec(J2000) err_de AX Psc 0.14 01 12 13.49 0.29 +32 47 11.3 0.39 EP Per 1.70 02 55 11.58 0.24 +54 25 46.7 0.26 QR Per 0.36 03 00 48.44 0.35 +56 14 10.0 0.37 V363 Per 0.19 02 41 07.85 0.25 +55 12 59.6 0.26 So the following identifications can be made with respect to GSC: AX Psc = GSC 2295:548 QR Per = GSC 3705:101 EP Per and V363 Per are not in GSC. Besides, VY Tri and WX Tri were also observed. Concerning VY Tri, no red or obviously variable object was detected in the field. I forgot to take V band image of WX Tri, however WX Tri is probably GSC 2318:452, which changed its brightness by about 0.07 mag (not very much) on my images. Best regards, Ondrej Pejcha
