IAUC 7872 gives a comment by Jonker et al. that a variable star
near the millisec pulsar XTE J1751-305 turns out to be of late-M spectral
type. The position provided is coincident with a 2MASS catalogue source at:
17 51 16.13 -30 37 59.2 (2000). The 2MASS K magnitude is 7.65 +/- 0.04
with J-K color of 2.0, consistent with a red (or reddened) star. The
location (gal long 359 deg, lat -2 deg) is in an area of heavy extinction,
so strong reddening is expected. For reference, an M5 or M6 giant has an
unreddened J-K of about 1.2 or 1.3.
