The variability of VX Dra was discovered by I. Balanowsky on 11 photgraphic
plates from Pulkowo Observatory with variations from 11.1 to 11.6 mpg (AN
216, 150, 1921). The star obtained the name in the 19th. Name List (AN 217,
369-376, 1922). The given position was 15h 32m 45s +6241.0' (equinox 1900).
