   Given the original source identification of CU Vul in IBVS 4864 is
correct, there is no doubt about the identity of CU Vul with the BD star.
I don't have the source literature, so I can't make any further search.
[Since CU Vul was apparently discovered by Hoffmeister, he may have left
the BD identification, as was usual for his many variable star discoveries].

   I was just asking here in order to make a reply to Yoshida-san ;-).
My identification was based on the close positional agreement between
the GCVS CU Vul, GCCS position, and a 2MASS red star.  Since the GCCS gives
the identification with CU Vul, something (likely the GCCS coordinates
and the original GCVS position) must be wrong.  This needs to be fixed
using the original reference to the carbon star catalog.
