Since Graff Williams and I obtained the precise position for V345 Vul
that Yoshida-san corrects, I looked into the source charts for this object.
In brief, I agree that the position on IBVS 4450 is in error, and that the
new position is correct. Among additional evidence is that the new star
is bright on the POSS-II red plate, but faint on POSS-I red. Also the new
star lies very close to the center of the IRAS error-ellipse, whereas our
original one was at the edge. We should have noticed this, but perhaps were
lulled into complacency by the new star's being not present in USNO-A1.0.
