It seems everyone deals on his own way with the Greek letters.
In the database of the Belgian VVS Werkgroep Veranderlijke Sterren (in
English Variable Star Section ;)) the letter G (of Greek) is added in front
of the 2 character Greek letters, i.e. GMU for mu, GNU for nu etc.
