[vsnet-id-2mass 219] AC Sco and AF Sco

AC Sco and AF Sco

   These two stars were once suspected to be dwarf novae.  Later studies
revealed that they are red variables.

   I have been a little surprized to find these two stars are missing
from the 2MASS catalog (they are in the scanned region).  Have there
been special reasons why these stars were rejected?
