Synopsis: Strong high pressure will bring generally northeast winds. An
upper level trough of low pressure is forecast to develop over the
eastern Gulf of Mexico. These conditions are forecast to bring gusty
crosswinds and increase the probability of low cloud ceilings.
At the opening of the launch window at 4:57 a.m. on Wednesday the
forecast is:
Clouds: 4/10-7/10 scattered to broken stratocumulus at 4,000 ft
Visibility: 7 miles or greater
Wind - Pad 39B: NE/12-18 knots
Temperature: 65 degrees
Dewpoint: 58 degrees
Humidity: 79%
Precipitation: slight chance of scattered showers
Other weather concerns: chance of ceiling below 8,000 feet
crosswind exceeding 15 knots
