subject: Unger's and Steele's data
Sir Dr. Hurst,
Nothing new have been heard about Unger's and Steele's data and
they remain untouched in my compilation.
Following is the source of their observations from Alex Filippenko
and was distributed through 'Nova network'.

From Steve Unger, La Palma (29146::swu):
The following table gives VERY rough magnitudes for the SN.
The V mag has an error of +/-0.2mag and the colours have +/-0.1mag.
These are external errors. The internal ones (i.e. the changes
from night to night) will be smaller - as shown by the uniform
trends.
I would only advise these as a guide, pending a full analysis.

Subj: Earlyish Photometry of SN1993J reduced at last!
Using Corwin's callibration data for Star B (B=12.4,V=11.9,R=11.6,I=11.3)
I now obtain the following revised CCD photometry of SN1993J.
Telescope is 16inch (ie. 40 cm) Cass Reflector.
Date
March 30.93 B=10.96, V=10.75, R=10.69, I=10.55
March 33.89 B=12.18, V=11.60, R=11.24, I=11.12 (ie. April 2.89)
Bad weather has so far prevented further observations
(Note the V magnitudes are 0.5 magnitudes fainter than those I gave
previously which were based on the HST GSC V=11.4 magnitude for Star B -
this correction pulls our data much more into line with that from
La Palma etc.)
