I am no professional and I am not experienced in estimating
magnitude but it appears to me as though the SN is getting
brighter. For what it is worth, I would estimate the magnitude
to be equal to that of star A and slightly brighter than star B.

A * * SNe
B *
I seem to recall reading somewhere that A and B are of equal
magnitude. If this is the case, I don't know what the heck I
was looking at!

I had made those observations on the evening of my original
posting which I believe was Sunday April 17th at 2130 + 5 hrs
(GMT)
You may certainly use my observations but please keep in mind I
am a rank amateur.
BTW- Great to "hear" from Japan! If you happen to know of any
young students who would like to correspond via email with my
astronomy students or advanced chemistry students, please let
me know.
Thanks
