Hi,
This is my 9th discovery and this times it's not an asteroid!!!!,
I would very much like to hear of spectral, UBVRI photometry of this object as
soon as possible.
NOVA OPHIUCHII 1993!!!!
Paul J. Camilleri (Cobram, Victoria, Australia) reports his discovery of a
probable nova on 85mm Lens + T-Max film patrol films at 17h 22.1m -23d 09'
(1950). Magnitude estimates are as follows 1993 April 01.77ut [12pv
(Camilleri); April 14.54, 9.5pv (Camilleri); April 16.68, 9.5pv (Camilleri).
April 17.50, 9.5v (P.F. Williams, Heathcote, NSW) April 17.52, 9.5v
(Camilleri). There is no image on Atlas Stellarum (1970 April 6th) or the Union
Observatory Prints (1921 June 4th) to a limiting magnitude of 14mpg, the object
is about 2' arc East of a magnitude 10 star.
Cheers,Paul Camilleri
