Dear Taichi,
In addition to my e-mail about EG Cnc, we have very little information
on this star. We do know that it was found in outburst on Nov 12 1977
at mag 11.9 by Huruhata, and that it faded to 14.1 by Dec 7. The chart
we use was taken from IBVS 2401, and no mention of a mag 16 companion
is given. It is a 1 degree chart of very poor quality, so I am not
surprised that errors will occur! The magnitude range we have is
11.9 - 17:V. The chart is also without a sequence.
Thank you for pointing out that a companion star is present. This makes
all the difference to past observations! If you could supply any
further information, this would be of great help and value.
Many thanks,
Gary
