(1992 Apr. 8) subject: EY Cyg Dear Patrick, I observed EY Cyg again on Apr. 7. The star had faded by about 0.3 magnitude in two days. Therefore it can not be too late for detecting superhumps if this star is really an SU UMa star. Superhumps usually persist until rapid decline phase. Observation from 7.71 UT to 7.83 UT could not confirm periodic variablilty less than two hours in period. The star faded fro 7.71 to 7.76 by 0.1 magnitude and again rose until the end of observation. If this modulation was caused by the orbital motion, the period should be longer than 3 hours. The difference between (108) and (115) is constant at 0.7 magnitude. This may be due to different response of the eye and the CCD(V). Wide field images can not be taken because of electronic trouble in CCD controller. Regards, Taichi Kato
