Also in 2MASS images, there is no object within 2" of my reported 
position (17h47m21s.724 +/- 0s.003,  -23o28'22".79 +/- 0".06).  A
faint object (about 2" west of the nova) which cannot be seen in DSS R
images was marginally detected on 2MASS J, H, and Ks images.
