This star has been long known by binocular observers, but the nature seems
to be little known. Although GCVS lists it as I: star with a range of
5.17-5.29 V, Hipparcos does not seem to record variability.
Is this a genuine constant star? Or has it stopped variability?
The spectral type in GCVS is G0III+A6V. According to Buscombe's catalog,
the spectrum is A0IV+G0III or G4(II)+B9.5V:
