GCN and OGLE alert accounts have their own perfectly serviceable, and subscribeable to (and no doubt unsubscribeable from, now there's an innovation), mailing list servers should people wish to so subscribe, so why does vsnet have to send a second copy? If you want folk to know about 'em, tell 'em once in an email, with links to the legit pages that carry the subscription details. Do you have to send so many emails a month or summat to be allowed to have a domain account at your Uni or summat? John Greaves
