For Windows, there is PCTex, which I use. TexShop sounds much like
PCTex, but PCTex is a bit pricey at about $250. There is also MikTex
and WinEdt, both for Windows, at substantially lower cost. I don't have
much experience with either, but I found them much more difficult to use
than PCTex.
