Yes, I'd forgotten about the IBVS templates, which John and I already
talked about off-line. These allow you to add in text as usual, and it
generates a marked-up file for the IBVS folks. That works fine for simple
papers. Along with "A Guide to LaTex" by Kopka and Daly, there's also
"TeX for the Impatient" by Abrahams, Hargraves, & Berry. The book title
does tell you something about how a lot of folks view the program, but I
agree the basic stuff isn't so involved as to make it unworkable.
