Message on 2001 Aug. 24: Subject: [vsnet-campaign 1134] RX J1643.7+3402 RX J1643.7+3402 According to astro-ph/0108377 (Mickaelian et al., A&A in press), RX J1643.7+3402 is identified with a bright (V=12.6) cataclysmic variable. The likely orbital period lies in the period gap. Further long-term coverage is clearly needed.
