According to astro-ph/0108377 (Mickaelian et al., A&A in press),
RX J1643.7+3402 is identified with a bright (V=12.6) cataclysmic variable.
The likely orbital period lies in the period gap. Further long-term
coverage is clearly needed.
The object is identifed with:
