...or his successors, since he passed on a few years ago. Perhaps
the Kilmartin/Gilmores could be persuaded to measure UBVRI for a few
stars in the immediate of the nova to assist in direct on-chip calibration.
They are much better placed latitude-wise to get a few observations.
