I may have written this somewhere in the past, but QU Vul was the best
example which showed more than 1 mag difference between observers (using
the same chart) during its nebular phase. This is very likely caused by
the strong [OIII] line, the sensitivity to which may vary from observer
to observer. PW Vul showed similar effect, and some observers even
reported the effect is dependent on the magnification. I don't think
it totally unlikely similar effect may have worked in V1494 Aql.
Furthermore, there is already a marked deviation of the same degree,
for which no one apparently had a claim.

I have already forwarded the message to the original observer, and
would like to leave the decision to the observer.
